What is Daily Micronutrients designed to support?

Daily Micronutrients is Marek's foundational once-daily multivitamin — 27 nutrients delivered in a single capsule, every one chosen in a well-absorbed, biologically active form. It supports daily nutrient adequacy, cellular energy metabolism, methylation, antioxidant defense, and foundational wellness.‡

The formula stacks active B vitamins (including methylated folate and B12), chelated minerals, dual-form vitamin K2 (MK-4 + MK-7), and several premium add-ins not typically found in multivitamins — CDP-choline, triacetyluridine, mixed tocotrienols, hyaluronic acid, and a trace dose of lithium orotate.

One capsule daily with food. Designed as the daily-coverage foundation that complements the rest of the Marek formulary rather than duplicating it.

What makes Daily Micronutrients different from a typical multivitamin?

Three things, mostly: form, dose philosophy, and what's left out.

  1. Form. Every B vitamin in Daily Micronutrients is in its active coenzyme form — folate as L-5-MTHF (not folic acid), B12 as methylcobalamin (not cyanocobalamin), B6 as P5P (not pyridoxine HCl), riboflavin as R5P. The minerals are chelated to amino acids (bisglycinates, picolinate, amino acid chelates) rather than supplied as cheap oxide or sulfate salts. This costs more to manufacture but delivers better absorption and bypasses conversion steps your liver would otherwise have to do.
  2. Dose philosophy. Daily Micronutrients is positioned as foundational daily coverage, not megadose therapy. Meaningful baseline amounts to help cover common nutrient gaps.‡ If you want clinical-range vitamin D, dedicated magnesium, or higher-dose boron, the rest of the Marek formulary covers those (Daily D3/K2, Mag² + Boron). The multi is the foundation everything else builds on.
  3. What's left out. No iron; unnecessary for most adult men and post-menopausal women, who generally shouldn't supplement iron without confirmed deficiency. No calcium; most adults get adequate calcium from diet, and calcium can interfere with absorption of other minerals taken alongside. The formula is deliberately curated for what does belong, not padded with what doesn't.‡
Why does Daily Micronutrients use active forms of B vitamins?

Because the active forms work immediately, while inactive forms have to be converted — and not everyone converts equally well.‡

Most multivitamins use the inactive precursor forms of B vitamins because they're cheaper to manufacture. Folic acid (synthetic) has to be converted to L-5-MTHF — the active folate form — through several enzymatic steps involving the MTHFR enzyme. Cyanocobalamin (the most common B12 form) has to be processed by the liver, with the cyanide group removed, before being converted to methylcobalamin or adenosylcobalamin. Pyridoxine HCl has to be phosphorylated to P5P. Riboflavin has to be activated to R5P.

For most people, these conversions happen fine. But liver function, age, genetics, alcohol intake, and other supplements all affect how well the body activates the inactive vitamin forms.

By starting with the active forms, our daily micronutrients formula sidesteps the conversion question. The vitamins arrive in circulation already in the forms your enzymes actually use. The cost is higher; the result is more reliable nutrient delivery.‡

What are the premium add-ins (CDP-choline, triacetyluridine, tocotrienols, hyaluronic acid) doing in a multivitamin?

Four ingredients that round out the formula beyond standard vitamins and minerals — each chosen for a specific role in pathways most multivitamins ignore:

  • CDP-choline (as citicoline) is a well-absorbed form of choline that supplies both choline and cytidine — molecules used in the synthesis of phospholipids that make up cell membranes throughout the body, including in the brain. Choline is technically an essential nutrient, but the RDA is set conservatively, and most adults fall short of intake levels associated with optimal cognitive and liver-related outcomes. The 100 mg dose of CDP-choline is foundational rather than therapeutic — if you want a dedicated choline dose, Marek's Liver Support provides an additional 300 mg of CDP-choline per serving.‡
  • Triacetyluridine (TAU) is a bioavailable form of uridine — a nucleotide used in the CDP-choline pathway to build synaptic membranes and support neurotransmitter function.‡ TAU supports the substrate side of synaptic membrane maintenance, complementing the choline pathway.‡
  • Mixed tocotrienols (containing gamma tocotrienols) are a less common but research-backed form of vitamin E. Most multivitamins use alpha-tocopherol — a single member of the vitamin E family. Tocotrienols are a structurally distinct sub-family with their own research literature in antioxidant defense, cardiovascular pathway support, and cellular signaling. Using tocotrienols provides broader vitamin E family coverage than alpha-tocopherol alone.‡
  • Hyaluronic acid (HA) supports connective tissue, skin, and joint physiology. Found naturally throughout the body, hyaluronic acid is a major component of skin extracellular matrix and synovial fluid. Oral hyaluronic acid supplementation has been studied for its effects on skin hydration, joint comfort, and connective tissue support in healthy adults.‡

When and how should I take Multivitamin?

Take one capsule daily with food, preferably a meal that contains some dietary fat.‡

The "with food" guidance covers two things. First, fat-soluble vitamins: Daily Micronutrients contains vitamins A, D3, E, and K2 — all fat-soluble, meaning they absorb best alongside some dietary fat. Second, tolerance: some B vitamins (notably the higher-dose niacin and B6) can be slightly uncomfortable on an empty stomach.

Time of day matters less than meal pairing. Most people take Multivitamin with lunch or dinner. Daily consistency is the protocol. A multivitamin's value comes from sustained daily nutrient adequacy over weeks and months, not from acute single-dose effects.

Who should consult a healthcare provider before taking Multivitamin?

Consult your healthcare provider before starting the Marek Multivitamin if you:

  • Take prescription lithium. Even trace lithium from a supplement can be relevant in this context — talk to your prescribing provider before adding any source.
  • Take blood-thinning medication (warfarin, Coumadin, or other vitamin K-sensitive anticoagulants). Vitamin K can interfere with these medications, and dose adjustments are required if you start, stop, or change a K-containing supplement.
  • Take thyroid medication or have a diagnosed thyroid condition. Multivitamin contains iodine and selenium. If you also take Marek Thyroid Support, audit total daily iodine intake with your provider.
  • Have hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, or another disorder of calcium metabolism.
  • Have kidney disease or impaired renal function. Vitamin D activation occurs in the kidneys, and high-dose D supplementation can affect calcium handling in ways that matter for people with kidney disease.
  • Take other multivitamins or high-dose individual vitamins — audit total daily intake to avoid stacking past upper limits, particularly for B6, niacin, vitamin A, boron, and any iron-containing products.
  • Have a history of granulomatous disease (sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, lymphoma), which can cause abnormal vitamin D metabolism.
  • Are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive. Pregnancy multivitamin needs are different — most adults switch to a prenatal in those contexts.
  • Are under 18.

Multivitamin is a dietary supplement and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you're managing a condition or under medical supervision, work with your provider to determine whether Multivitamin fits your protocol.
